Search the catalogue ↓

Browse named entries from historical surveys, archaeological registers and official damage assessments. These are source records, not a count of unique destroyed temples. Several entries may concern the same place; one entry may describe a group. Each preserves its source and the work still needed.

How to read this catalogue

Official assessments describe reported physical damage. Archaeological remains often have no known loss date or destroyer. Historical compilations include claims about later buildings and reused material; those claims await independent checks. Dates on later monuments are not treated as temple destruction dates. Earthquake losses remain separate from intentional acts.
